Storage Facility flooded in April 2017. Received a letter to come look at the unit. Did so. No other correspondence from the Facility. Received a letter 9-25-17 - 10 days after it was written saying that my items would be removed from my unit for repairs 7 days from the date on the letter which was 9-15-17. Call facility - no one answered - voice mail full. Tried to email facility - error messages popped up. Called a message answering person - located in Arizona - and left a message to be given to the Property Manager. He called 9-26. Said that since I called and I confirmed that my unit was not flooded, he would not move my items. When I asked about the letter, he let me talk to the Regional Manager, Michael, when I tried to explain why I was upset, he told me I should be happy that my items were intact and that they had not been moved and also, my unit was not being repaired. I asked why I was told that the facility was being repaired, he said it's only the flooded units and the letter was just a warning trying to get everyone to respond. The first letter in April never said to contact the property manager about whether the unit was flooded or not. He said that they had tried multiple times to reach me. I only received 2 letters: one in April and one in September. No phone calls were made trying to reach me. I asked why they couldn't respond to my payment receipts or put a notice on the web site - he said there are too many people who haven't responded. I asked him if he realized that the unit could be gotten into with a code any time - and that includes when a property manager is off duty. No response. He just hung up on me. I am a customer service rep. If I had hung up I would no longer have a job. The regional manager should be fired. He should have listened to me. I am happy that my unit did not flood but that was in April 2017 and we are now in September 2017 - the 26th.
If you are considering this facility, I would tell you to run away and find another storage facility. Customer Service is poor. The way the company handles disasters is poor. The people handling this facility should be disciplined for how they handle their customers.
I have had a shed there for almost two years. They have always been great help and I have never had one problem even through all of my legal trouble.
I rented a storage space from Great Value Storage, when I went to put my things in the storage area, the area was Flooded, and the space to way smaller then I thought, I had just given them my rental fee and when back to let them know I wasn't happy and was not going to take it. They Refuse to give me my money back and kept giving me the run around. I am telling everyone that I know Not to use this company, along with filling a complaint against them.
Have had many a storage units, and always have been treated like a great client. Good prices and convenient location.
Great place . The staff and manager Vincent are so very nice and extremely helpful. I would recommend to all.
